Scholarship toward University of St. Thomas "Fundamentals of Engineering for Educators" course
A number of scholarships will be awarded to teachers who enroll in the "Fundamentals of Engineering for Educators" course, Sept 13-Dec 6 offered at the University of St. Thomas. Dr. AnnMarie Thomas will be the professor for the course that will cover a variety of engineering topics and disciplines with hands-on activities and special emphasis placed on connections to the new MN Academic Standards in Science. Science Standards and Engineering Instruction Workshops - Sept. 21 and Nov. 3
Day-long science standards workshops will be offered at the Minn. Dept. of Education in Roseville on Sep. 21st and Nov. 3rd. The day will have several choices including an introduction to the standards, a deeper look at the nature of science and engineering for those who have attended an introductory workshop, a look at the new Science Literacy standards (part of ELA standards revision), and information regarding changes in the MCA Science exam.
